The percentage is how much visible light the film lets through: 70% is a light film that cuts heat and glare without changing the look, 35% is a noticeable darkening, and 5% is the darkest, often called limo tint. Tint percentages explained

I need to start out by saying that I did not have any work done on my car here. I was looking for help with a project, and I stopped in to ask for assistance. As I pulled in, I witnessed one of the technicians carefully parking a customer vehicle up front for pick up. Inside, the shop was impeccably clean and well organized, and they also appear to do sound upgrades as well. As soon as I came in, someone came from the back garage bays to greet me and I shared my ridiculous request. For Halloween, I made Mandalorian armor for my son's costume. I needed a tinted visor for the helmet, and while I had some clear sheets of plastic, I wasn't sure how to achieve the tint. The gentleman (I very rudely never asked his name, sorry!) who helped me said he'd never done something like that before, but enthusiastically offered to try, and showed me an appropriate level of tint to use. In less than 5 minutes, he was back with my 8.5"x 11" tinted plastic, explaining that he left about a 3 mm untinted perimeter to be sure it didn't accidentally catch anything and partially peel off. I asked him what I owed him and he simply replied, "If it brings a smile to a kid's face, that's enough for me." A large measure of what you can expect from anyone is determined by character. A clean organized shop, conscientious staff, and a willingness to help a dad finish his son's costume 2 days before Halloween all speaks to exceptional character, and hence my 5 star review. I would have very willingly paid for their time, materials and expertise. And I'd trust my car here any day. I hope the folks at Black Optix read this. I am posting a photo of the finished product. It may be hard to see the visor, but it is perfect! Thank you!!!!

Got Both my cars tinted. Excellent job. I have a medical exemption and got the front windshield and side driver windows done and they look perfect. Prompt work, good service, friendly people. I highly recommend these guys.
My car wasn't even in the shop yet and Francois was taking his time to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. Even though it was Saturday and toward the end of the day, he never once seemed rushed about his time with me. He even made suggestions that would save me money! He didn't try to up sale me either! I can't wait to see it finished. Sooooo, the did all the windows in my Explorer, including the sunroof & front winshield in about an hour. Seeing it in the sunlight, I got one word!! EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!

Most installs take 1-2 hours. The exact time depends on how many windows you're having done, the film you choose, and your vehicle, so larger jobs run a bit longer. You'll get a clear time estimate when you book, and almost everything is finished the same day.
Properly installed Optix film shouldn't. Bubbling, peeling, and that purple fade usually come from bargain film or rushed installs. Every Optix film is USA-made, color-stable, and installed by trained technicians. If a problem does show up, your film's warranty covers bubbling, peeling, and fading under normal use. Coverage depends on the film you choose. Your shop will go over the terms before your install, and they're printed on your receipt.
Give the film 3-5 days to cure before lowering the windows so it can fully bond. You can drive right away, just leave the windows up for a few days.
Hybrid film pairs a color-stable dye with a non-conductive metal layer for a real step up in heat rejection, without blocking phone or GPS signal. Nano-ceramic film uses ceramic particles instead of dyes or metals to reject the most infrared heat, and is the top pick for the hottest summer days.
